I've always liked Pedro Mendes and thought he'd make a decent squad player for us but if Mutinho is so good how come he can't beat out Pedro Mendes?

These Portugese teams seem to do this.

They either turn up as world beaters or don't bother turning up at all.

Look at Benfica versus the [Poor language removed].
