They (Norwich) are going to have to do better than that. They're getting a chasing here. I expect them to push on to us second half and the introduction of Kone could prove useful to us.

Fellaini and Barkley are playing very well, Mirallas is hit and miss, coleman not himself, Baines is boss, Pienaar showing his best and worse features in this game and Osman needs step up second half.

I think a few people are missing the obvious change in philosophy that Martinez seems to have introduced. We have SO much possession it's unreal, and that is a good thing. Consequently Norwich will start to hurry their play when they do have the ball and this will lead to them making mistakes.

Other than Van Wolfspenis skinning Jagielka three times in the first 20 minutes, what I'm seeing is a good, strong Everton performance. Yes I'd prefer to have scored by halftime, but I suspect we will see the possession game pay dividends in the second half. Some of the interplay between Baines, Coleman and the midfield has been VERY slick, and I am so glad to see that the hoofing has been cut down to almost zero. Particularly impressed with Barkley, who looks ready to make fifteen or twenty starts this season.

COYB!!

We'll win this. Plenty of options.

Pienaar, Mirallas, and osman haven't got involve as much as they should, been sloppy.

Barkley grew into it more. Fellaini and Distin in beast mode.

Problems are the counters and the space behind the fullback.

Also the fact no one has been able to unlock a door and thread a pass behind them yet for Jelavic.
