Tonight's running order:
MOTD at 10.30pm: 1.Swansea/Man Utd, 2.Arsenal/Villa, 3.Norwich/Everton, 4.Liverpool/Stoke, 5.West Ham/Cardiff, 6.West Brom/Southampton, 7.Sunderland/Fulham.

maybe it was for a reason that im missing, but i was unhappy with the naismith sub for mirallas. dont think that was the right move

Is everyone ok after the big crash?

Unsure what to make of that, really. Was worried continuity would be an issue and initially at least, we looked a bit shaky. Grew in to the game I think and looked very good at times. A goal was just what Barkley needed, made up for him for an excellent all round game. Gibson hopefully will cover our soft underbelly a bit better than Osman did.

Ratings:

Howard -7/10 - Had literally nothing to do and couldn't have stopped either goal.
-
Coleman - 8/10 - Looked strong after a shaky start, got a vital goal and an assist.
Jagielka - 6/10 - Again looked suspect, merked by van Wolkswinkel for their goal.
Distin - 7/10 - Marginally better than Jagielka but not comfortable on the ball in this system.
Baines - 6/10 - Didn't look at the races today. Are we ever going to score from a Baines' corner?
-
Mirallas - 5/10 - Thought he was very poor today and passed up at least three good chances.
Osman - 5/10 - Awful performance, typical of his pre-season and most of last season. Time to go, Leon.
Barkley - 9/10 - From the first whistle the best player on the park. Head and shoulders above everybody else. Made up for him.
Fellaini - 6/10 - On the basis of this performance we'd be lucky to get 20m for him. Maybe we could use the 25m million that is realistic to replace him, Osman and get a bloody striker in?
Pienaar - 7/10 - Terrible first half, decent in the second.
-
Jelavic - 6/10 - Literally did nothing.

Thoughts:
Why the hell bring Naismith on when there are so many other options? Jesus Christ, the guy is League One standard ffs.

Has Kone even touched the ball in an Everton shirt yet? Martinez should make him train in his full match day kit to get him used to touching a football. Still maintain he is a complete waste of money.

Very disappointed not to win that after completely and utterly dominating the first half, and have major concerned that players such as Jagielka, Distin, Osman cannot play this system as they just aren't good enough for it.

Had we been outplayed and fought back from two down I'd be made up with a point, but after that first half and with Norwich missing loads of players I am gutted at that result.
