On each device I use, I am seeing an alert appearing and then disappearing every time a page is loaded. I've tried logging in and out, but it has the same issue.

It doesn't really bother me as it is obvious if there is an alert - it stays - however I thought I'd notify it anyway in case it's a more global issue.

The reason this happens is when someone you ignore interacts with one of your posts by the way.

The forum flashes it up for a second before "ignoring" the action.

Lads, again, it’s not an issue with the forum haha. It is an intentional function to remind you you have a direct interaction (reply/tag) in a post you haven’t looked at yet.

Nope, for me it was what I described - an ignored user "liked" something, so what it does is flash for a blink of a second upon reload then disappears.

When you mark as read, they go, but until you do it stays there forever, but you have to manually mark all as read to get rid as you can't see the individual notification from the ignored member. I've had it happen three times since November last year and always the same reason.

So it's an issue with the forum software if an ignored member is still causing you to have to react to something.

It isnt.

Hpeens to me too and the 2 posters I have on ignore dont post anymore.

Back to the drawing board detective

If you have notifications you haven't marked as read, it will. But most people mark them as read as you go.

So if people are getting this problem even after marking as read "on the go", it'll be for the reason I described.

Basically, mark your notifications as read.

Or disable them.
