Our second half performance going in with a lead reminded me totally of Burnley last year. We came out second half and it was panic stations at times. These players are just so easy to play against and so liable to crack under pressure.

I’ve never seen an Everton midfield with so many rubber shinned players. Nobody can get the ball under control first time and lay it off, so we just can’t attack with any pace.

Our standards and expectations are so low that we settle for a point anywhere or against anyone and call it good. But 12 more draws this season probably wouldn't keep us up. We need wins. This was a wonderful chance to get it, drag a rival into the mire, and get out of the bottom three. We missed that chance. We couldn't really afford to having cheerled for Frank Lampard until January.

I don't want to be a downer, but I think we're goosed after today. Watch the sheer panic when we fail to beat Brentford at home...

We are getting better mate 7 points out of 18 is hardly earth shattering but it is practically half of Lampard's total after 20 games. We scored two goals today for the first time in months that is a postive step and we look like we have a semblance of a game plan now which is probably down to better coaching. The 3 home games we have played we were unlucky not to win all of them if we carry on playing like this hopefully we will get over the line.

But it likely won't. That's the problem. 12 more points just won't be enough, in all likelihood. It might be if we could ensure some of those points were wins against direct rivals.
