We’re done. Down the plug hole we go!!

The flagrant disregard for this once great club by the current owners is beyond belief.

Everton have simply lost the plot, the Everton I used to know is gone.
Seen the table - we are 3 points off 13th position - two wins & the confidence will grow , but Dyche has to change our team formation ....

After both Arsenal and Leeds at home, I began to think that Goodison was back to being a tough place for opposing teams to come - until Villa strolled in and took all 3 pts. So having thrown back the lifeline we were offered, we now have to make up the shortfall somehow, and that may as well start on Sunday. Although not losing this one has to be the first priority, so in theory Notts* Forest can still be reeled in.

* I'm led to believe that they love being called this, should you wish to banter with any home fans you might encounter.

This is where we will see Dyche's real coaching ability, This isn't just about tactics and game-plan now.
This is about picking up the players/team (by Sunday) after last night's performance.
If he can do that ( after being Schooled by Arsenal ) then he will have already worked one miracle.

If the players don't even have faith in each other then we're just looking at more suffering..

The next miracle would be putting the ball in the back of the net...

( Dom, Garner, WE NEED YOU !!!

13 games to go, from 39 points up for grabs we have to get 15 points.

5 wins, then.

Big ask - it feels must win but for me, it's a must not lose.

Trying to be pragmatic about it, perhaps because I don't think we'll win so I'm just hoping we don't lose it. Have you seen our away form the past few years? Shouting "must win" just feels like setting ourselves up for an inevitable kick in the balls.

Draw this, and beat Brentford at Goodison and we're out the bottom 3 IMO unless Chelsea's players down tools vs Leeds to get Potter out.

Put it this way, if at 80 minute it's 0-0, I don't think we should be going all out to get a win.

It's going to the wire and we've got to stay in the fight.
A draw is the bottom line I think. Their paper-thin confidence has just taken another battering and I don't see us coming back from a defeat against Forest. We have to win the midfield. This is so important to keeping the pressure off the back four and somehow creating any kind of opportunity in front of goal. Gana has sadly lost it in a big way and shouldn't start this one. We need energy and bags of it. I agree though that a draw wouldn't be a disaster. But Dyche has to demonstrate he can shake things up when they are not performing.

Not sure it's true about their 'paper-thin confidence' mate.

Not at home.

Forest will be expecting and confident of a win.

Sure, you can say they've just been tonked 4-0 away, but their last home game they drew 1-1 with Man City. They've beat Liverpool at home etc.

I don't think they've lost at home in the Prem since September and they've come on loads since the world cup.

Definitely come on but I don't think it takes too much for their heads to drop. Forest are poor and we need to take control of that midfield. Be really interesting to see who he picks. Onana is a cert but Doucs and Gana offer very little with the ball and give it away too much. Arsenal wasn't a surprise but the Villa game was a disappointment. We controlled large parts of that game but then didn't capitalise when we had the chances. Would like to Onana further up the pitch personally offering a link between our front man and the midfield. It's squeaky bum time and I just hope we can learn how to find the back of the net. This will ease the pressure massively.

Best I see is a draw, that's dependent on either scoring first or not conceding.

An away point wouldn't be the worst scenario but other results could go against us.

We are being made to pay now for not sacking Lampard during the WC break. This is the time when an otherwise decent away point may not be enough anymore and when losing at home like last Saturday is a disaster.

Slight positives from last night, is we created chances including 5 shots on target against league leaders all of which were decent enough attempts, two of which when we were 3 or 4-0 down, Forest wont be as good as Arsenal. Just hope we can finish them.

i know, i see that, but i just don't see a sustainable change to Everton in the short or medium term. Just my opinion, but the abyss is large, and doesn't just mean the championship. I like Sean Dyche, but i don't like those who have turned Everton into this, that isn't changing any time soon, that my friend is a fact!!!

I don't do hope, and Everton... i may as well put my fingers in the sockets whilst sat in the bath to get more pleasure and optimism than from this Everton.

definitely a defining game.

i just can't see dyche taking the bull by the horns, which we surely must do.

my poo is white again, like in the 70s.
