It is odd to me that Dyche can go to starting Simms at Anfield to then deciding on Gray.

How can you go from rating Simms to give him a start there to then thinking to start a winger upfront who has never scored a header.
You would hope that by Dyche choosing to play Gray will result in a different approach, otherwise it’s another round peg in a square hole situation.

Still, I think Gray is the sensible option today as he has been our best outlet this season, and it may mean we’re going to attempt to attack on the counter.

Gray isn’t perfect, far from it, but it does offer me some hope of a result. If we try and swing balls in to him in the area, we’re doomed.

Because he doesnt know the squad well enough yet, and thats understandable. But its also another example of why changing manager was never going to make the difference people suggested.

Terrible line up.
No idea why Keane and Gana are getting a game .
Gray can't play as a lone striker.
Has Dyche got any more of a Scooby than Lampard?
None of them try the kids . Not sure what we've got to lose now

Lampard with Danjuma and a new centre forward would have been better than what we have now.

Keane, because Coady has been really poor and Mina will be thinking about his next club/has legs made out of tofu.

Gana, who else? Garner isn't fully fit apparently. Davies?

I agree with your point about Gray, but fans have done nothing but cry arse over Maupay so there's not many options there.

Looks like a real backs to the wall setup with hope of Gray on the counter winning some set pieces.

Power and physicality seems to be the focus for Dyche.

Garner to come on and put in a free kick.

from back to front this looks like a team set up to sit deep, absorb pressure and break down the left flank with speed. I hope it works!!

Hello guys. I know today is intensive in your mind but this is just a small mind to request should Everton fail to give you your shot of happy happy self worth that you remember you’re a fully grown adult and having a toddler strop on grand old team dot com slash forum isn’t good for neither you nor anyone reading it.

Thanks and enjoy the game, up the toffees! 1 = 20 what’s our name? nil satis lad.

Controversial opinion but I think you may be right.

Lampard didn't deserve more time. But the way we changed manager was chaotic and it won't make a difference. Bringing in a new manager is a pointless exercise in such a bad situation.

Anyone plan their post match activities these days fearing the worst? More typing letters of complaint to housing association rather than tea with family 😁

Maybe Gray will play left wing and McNeil be the striker?

Not exactly unjustified in his performances that. lol

Gueye has started every match hes been available all year i think. He's clearly undroppable to both Lamapard and Dyche. He gave away the worst goal I've seen all season at Arsenal. Shouldn't even be a sub today.
For who though? Garner clearly isn’t up to speed yet and is a bit of an unknown at this point. And Davies has little 5 minute cameos and still manages to give the ball away/concede fouls in stupid positions with every one.
