You would hope that by Dyche choosing to play Gray will result in a different approach, otherwise it’s another round peg in a square hole situation.It is odd to me that Dyche can go to starting Simms at Anfield to then deciding on Gray.
How can you go from rating Simms to give him a start there to then thinking to start a winger upfront who has never scored a header.
Still, I think Gray is the sensible option today as he has been our best outlet this season, and it may mean we’re going to attempt to attack on the counter.
Gray isn’t perfect, far from it, but it does offer me some hope of a result. If we try and swing balls in to him in the area, we’re doomed.
