Player Valuation: £25m
I can see us losing this. They are on too much of a high this season and our players now know we are safe which will take the edge off our performances. One nil forest
With being safe, I do feel there may be some 'flip-flops' at the ready, which from the players' perspective I can sort of get - not accept, but acknowledge.I can see us losing this. It's only Wednesday eggs, by the time their press conference comes around on Friday, all 4 will be fit and they'll have 16 new players available to play as well.
…knowing our luck, plus they left a few out in the last round of the cup and still managed to get through a difficult away tie.
Nottingham Forest will host Everton at The City Ground on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 14:00 UTC.
As of April 8, 2025, Nottingham Forest holds 3rd place in the Premier League with 57 points, while Everton is in 15th place with 35 points.
In their last five Premier League encounters, Nottingham Forest has won once, Everton has won twice, and there have been two draws.
Nottingham Forest has shown strong home form, winning 9 out of 15 matches at The City Ground this season. Conversely, Everton has struggled away, securing only 3 wins in 15 away matches.
Recent predictions suggest a closely contested match. Stats Insider’s model gives Nottingham Forest a 43.0% chance of winning, Everton a 29.9% chance, and a draw at 27.1%. Sports Mole’s analysis indicates a 46.29% probability of a Nottingham Forest win, 27.51% for an Everton win, and a 26.2% chance of a draw, with a 1-0 victory for Nottingham Forest being the most likely scoreline. Dimers.com also projects a 1-1 draw as the most probable outcome.
Considering Nottingham Forest’s strong home performance and Everton’s challenges on the road, a narrow victory for Nottingham Forest seems plausible.
That’s all fine and dandy, but in the real world people are just going to try harder when something is really on the line.I can understand with the season coming to its close, being safe, contracts ending etc but I couldn't really accept any drop-off in effort.
Results, and particularly against the better sides, and away, might not go our way but you still go out there and do a professional job. That's what I would hope for.
I get though sometimes it's immensely difficult to overcome the "flip-flop" mentality but you just have to go out and go to work. Poor application can be written off with a lot of excuses, but for me none of them are really plausible at this level.
Very good squad with plenty of strength in depth in key areas.
Will be a very tough game. If we get our noses in front and are still ahead by the hour mark, I'd fancy us to get a positive result.
Completely understand this but I think even subconsciously the players just know they are safe now. So it will take the edge off performances. I do think the home games they will raise their game for obvious reasons. But in what would normally be a very close match between us and Forest, it is undoutable that they have so much more to play for and it will make percentages of difference to swing it their wayWith being safe, I do feel there may be some 'flip-flops' at the ready, which from the players' perspective I can sort of get - not accept, but acknowledge.
This is the first season where we've been fairly safe with so many games to go, and even large parts of the fan have become temporarily less invested.
It's nice to not have to worry. However, it's for Moyes to get the players interested, so we are prepared for next season. If someone want new contracts or...
... to be the key player in their position next year, they need to show their worth.
We have the option regardless. It’s mandatory if he hits the no of games started, but ye, I’d be happier if it became mandatory!
