Robert Elstone has apparently told Everton fans that the Blues have not bid £10m for the Wigan man.
Sky Sports News broke the news that Everton had followed in Aston Villa’s footsteps and placed a bid, but then changed that to Everton having expressed “strong interest”.
Elstone was asked at Bury, where Everton won the first pre-season game of the campaign, but denied any bid had been made.

So Sky and Elstone are saying the same thing - we havnt made a bid - fair to say we all know we have been interested for beards - i think Villas move for him has just increased the pace of this.

Putting 6+4 together and getting 23, i think sky have got wind of us preparing a bid for zog,we have probably contacted wigan after hearing of villa,s offer and said as soon as yobo is offski(as lcab has said is moving along) we will make it official. So elstone gets asked if we have put bid in, he replies "no", cos if he says yes and for some reason yobo deal falls trough, he looks even more of a tit.
