Checks the relevant law.Can he take his lemo stash though?
What a terrible law. A coach to the opera and I'm sure glasses of wine are fine. It’s not just a question of it not being allowed, it’s a criminal offence to be in possession of alcohol whilst travelling in a coach being used principally to transport people to or from a match.
My older brother & his mates hire a car to go to see the Blues down south somewhere - the firm were in Prescot - it was a cheap advert - when they picked the Car up ii was dog rough an old banger - What do you expect for that money he stated - anyway my brother drove there got to the game the blues won - seen the lights of London had a meal - then they went on the ale ......The coach is always our last option for any away, its too easy to get stuck next to a load of weapons on them, the train is far better and the way we get to all the London games although its usually more expensive. Our away crew is normally 9 people so for the likes of Newcastle the other day and Southampton on Saturday we hire a 9 seater mercedes van from Arnold Clark which works out at about £30 odd each including petrol which is sound.
Actually had an experience with that years ago, back in 2007. Came over for the Everton v Middlesbrough game by coach. Trip organized by a supportersclub of Racing Genk (fan friendship with Fortuna).I’m fully aware of the law. However, most forces take a more flexible approach to the SE Act (1985) in the sense of ‘if the ground isn’t in our remit’ they won’t act.
Hence, why most coaches have ale on board and are never dealt with.
Exactly. Let's be clear, all the regular supporters clubs are known to the police including the coaches they use; smaller supporters clubs are 'monitored' too.Actually had an experience with that years ago, back in 2007. we actually baptised the coach we travelled with as the 'Jupiler Dome', as you literally had to walk over crates of Jupiler to get to your place.
Still can't figure out how I actually managed to survive that trip, it was one huge drinking session. After we arrived back at our coach after the game, we found out that the bus driver was ordered by the police to stack all crates in the bagage room.
We actually got a police escort to the motorway. First petrol station we came across, we restored order.

Wasn't it Klopp just pictured handing ale off the teams coach recently to a fanIt’s not just a question of it not being allowed, it’s a criminal offence to be in possession of alcohol whilst travelling in a coach being used principally to transport people to or from a match.
