There cetainly are a lot of lurkers on GOT. A shame really, as if there's one thing this forum could need, it would be a few more regular posters. Also notice a fair few new posters introduce themselves in the welcome forum and are never seen posting again after that.

A few months ago, there was a new member from Holland. As he was only the 2nd Dutchie on this board, I was the last person who welcomed him on here. He made 2 posts and was out of here. Tell me, am I really such a shocking poster? Honest answers please, I can handle the truth.

It's quite common on forums for 90% of visitors to lurk rather than post. They're still getting stuff from the place so it's not so bad

It's a tricky one as what makes a good community for those already into it such as familiarity and in jokes, is what often excludes newbies from joining up.

You can pretty much tell the toolbags from the get go. They're often controversial and have bizarre opinions.

If your a luker and your reading this and thinking 'Im too paranoid to post anything' listen up. I used to be the same way. I, too,used to sit up all night thinking something I may have said may have offended someone. But don't worry, we probably harly ever read all of peoples posts anyway.

I lurked for some months, leave the lurkers alone they all have their own worlds but chose to include this place in their daily routine to learn about EFC..................................its better than the Blueroom, Kipper or TW.
