..went to the same school as Ronnie, although I was a few years below him. I distinctly remember the Headmaster giving him his England U15 international cap on the school stage and watching him play for England Schoolboys.

It's a programme from a one-off version of Superstars (Kevin Keegan falling off his bike 70s telly) involving football teams. The idea was it would be the League champions vs the FA cup winners. Ipswich won the cup, but Liverpool, Forest and West Brom declined the invite, so 4th placed Everton entered.
The event was filmed in Welwyn Garden city on 13/14 July 1978 and shown later in the year on BBC 1 - Everton won 5-2 with a team consisting of Mick Lyons, Bob Latchford, Duncan McKenzie, George Wood, Andy King, Martin Dobson, Dave Thomas and Jim Pearson.
