Enjoyed that clip. Always great to see Howard play. Should we have signed Bob Hatton to play alongside Latch? They had a great partnership. I remember when Birmingham were a bit of an Everton Old-Boys team with Styles, Kendall, Connolly and Gary Jones playing for them, plus Bob Latchford's brother and boyhood Evertonians Withe and Gallagher.

Yes Howard carried the side almost singlehandedly from the day Bally left. First glimpse of his leadership qualities. Unfortunately, he got injured early in Bingham's first season and we did ok without him, at least in midfield, but couldn't score goals, hence the swoop for Big Bob. Howard was great for Birmingham too.
