TG JONES -
Sat up till 1am to find those with GOT running a bit betterHave a thumbs up from Gowen Snr.!
Thought they beat us 5-0 at goodison , but probably did us at the pit too
Not one of our better days at the pit.
5-0 drubbing off them. Interesting fact I have read was that Labone was substituted at half time for Gerry Glover.
One of the first times we used a sub.
As a youngster that 5-0 at Analfield was the first of the defeats I remember at theirs.Thought they beat us 5-0 at goodison , but probably did us at the pit too
doh they really were our bogey side apart from when we had Bally and Vernon and manager Joe Royle - I think Bally was undefeated 8 out of 13 Derbies! As a youngster that 5-0 at Analfield was the first of the defeats I remember at theirs.
We had beaten them 4-0 at the pit in 1964.
They did of course with another "one season wonder" as I called him in his debut season, Ian Rush scoring four of them.Thought they beat us 5-0 at goodison , but probably did us at the pit too
