Chico Scott pretty much ended his career by playing through cramp in the 1966 cup final for us, he never recovered his pace,Ray Wilson,well what can you say about him?And Sandy would have run through a brick wall for us mate, that current fella you mentioned won't be remembered four or five months after leaving us, let alone 40/50 years like those fellas.

You know I sit near the disabled section at the RHS of the Street End. About 4 years ago the guy a along from me said "see who is sitting there". I looked and it was an old guy in a wheelchair with light blond hair and dazzling blue eyes..... Yep Sandy Brown. Obviously elderly and weak but absolutely loving being there. I recalled internally his famous Og in that moment but also remembered how in the aftermath of that my dad taught me something special about being a Blue. He said at the time, "it is hurting him now but he is one tough lad and a true blue. The fans will forgive him because he bleeds blue". And they did. I still remember the roar when he lifted the league trophy later that season!!!!!
