Yes and not played him fullback......

...got me thinking about his partnership with Roy McFarland at Derby. McFarland is a Merseysider who had a sparkling top flight career without playing for either of the City’s top sides.

Could be a good thread for World Football, but I suppose Peter Withe and those other Aston Villa scousers (Mortimer, Swain, Morley) can also be included in that category.
 


It doesn't say that in that second replay at Old Trafford in 1977 in the last seconds, Darracott let the cross go straight past him instead of putting it in Row Z, and a second later, Villa scored the winner. I was behind the goal where it went in, and it was a horror display from Darracott for that winner. Worst defending I have ever seen, and that's saying something over many decades...
