Former Everton winger Dave Thomas was born. Signed from QPR for £200,000 in 1977. With his socks rolled down he flew down the wing to provide many chances for Everton forwards, especially Bob Latchford. Dave only stayed for just over 2 years scoring 6 in 84 games.

Dave was tireless and had two great feet supplying pin point Crosse especially for Big Bob, he's one of my all time favourites.Joey I'd just like to add it's great to have you back up to full speed again.

Catterick 'nearly' had in the palm of his hand...and lost for various reasons in 1962, Collins, Bremner and Kay.
