I must have seen that photo a thousand times, but tonight is the first time I realised that FRED Pickering is joining in on Evertons celebrations.
Fred was dropped for the final and Trebilcock was Harrys preference. I don't think Fred ever got to play at Wembley, I can remember a couple
of years later with Birmingham, Fred missed out again.. Love him or hate him? Fred had a big heart.

Used to love Big Fred scored some great goals for us.He did play at Wembley for England in 1964 and scored in a 2-2 draw with Belgium .

Frank McAvennie had the cheek to state West Ham were a better team than us that year - obviously must have already started on the gear as we were the best team in the league despite the old adage the table never lies!!

Yeah they brought the full hit but were still saved by the plod by the all weather pitch at the bottom of the valley!

Not sure that's correct tbh...loads of them got herded onto buses and escorted out of the City via the Lancs...meanwhile those that didn't make onto the buses made it onto Scotty where they were encountered.

Was at that game, sure Shilton was deputising for banks and in fact may have been his debut,but my mind is not what it was and could be massively wide of the mark.

Liverpool 1 Everton 1 in Oct 1968 at Anfield. Tommy Smith fires in a free kick to make it 1-1 after 75 minutes - name the Everton wall?

Apart from the 2 obvious ones, l can't tell.
But I do remember it was yet another where we played them off the park and only got a draw.
I was in the Anfield Rd end with the then GF and there were, back when these things mattered and her looking a bit posh and dressed up (we were shooting off into town straight after) a few reminders of 'mind the language lads.'
Until a piece of rs thuggery caused her to let rip...then all bets were off.
