I was at this game, queued up to get in the boy’s pen from about 11-30 am, always remember a blue balloon rolling towards the Gladwys End before the game, it eventually finished in the corner of the net, the same corner Eddie Wainwright put his penalty into early in the game. Spurs were in the second division at the time, but they were a great team, much better than the Blues. They walked the second div. championship that year 1950 and were champions of the first division the following year, Alf Ramsey was their right back along with many fine players.Everton 1 Tottenham Hotspurs 0; Liverpool Daily Post, F.A. Cup round five, Eddie Wainwright scored only goal from a Penalty. Everton lost in Semi-Finals to Liverpool 2-0 typically.....
