Nyes his debut wore the number 10 shirt - never looked forwards either after that - Henry the Hammer for Forest Henry the plodder for us - The Catt was trying to get a midfield trio of Kendall, Harvey , and him together TBF Harveys hip was causing him problems ....... he never really got going for us- HK outshone him......
Henry's debut at Highbury saw Catterick drop John Hurst to make way for him, shifting Howard back into the centre of defence alongside Kenyon, where he had the misfortune to be marking a red-hot Ray Kennedy. We lost 4-0 and the Catt never made that mistake again. Henry was consigned to the stands for the next few weeks until he re-emerged playing out of position at left-back, where he was to spend a good deal of his spell at Goodison.

One for the specialists. I came across this on my recent visit to the library but can't identify the year. According to my records Dean scored against Blackburn at Goodison 6..4.28 (2 goals), 1.3.30 (1 goal), 26.12.31 (3),8.12.34 (2 goals), 14.3.36 (2 goals). It's wishfull thinking but does anyone recognise the photo from their collection.

....it would’ve been ideal if the caption named the Blackburn goalkeeper. I’m not sure about kit changes in those days, but one way of determining could be looking at team photos from those seasons to see if there is anything unique in what they are wearing (hoops on the Blackburn socks).

Great picture, though.

No it was Frank Wignall - who bit us years later in the FA Cup playing for Notts Forest - he gave Labby a torrid time that day......
