Felt sad for Joe Royle missing that penalty, for me he was MOTM that night, only for the German goalkeeper Joe would have had a well deserved hat trick, brilliant headers matched with outstanding saves. It all turned out okay in the end with us getting through. The first European cup match to be decided by penalties.

I was there that night, Andy Rankin moved about 5 minutes before the german took his penalty the crowd legged onto the pitch and it was all over
