Absolutely, similar to McMahon, who suited the rs better than us, the dirty git.

...McMahon developed into that type, but he was a smashing player for us.

Always thought there was a major difference in his physique when he joined the Reds. The contrast in pictures is stark, but it was similar with John Barnes after he moved from Watford. I often wondered what they were feeding them across the park!!

No they were before my time, started watching Everton in 1975.
Well they were hard but fair in their era Jack charlton was a right DB in the Dirty Leeds side of the 1960s, and had a little black book on who to get Moggsy was top of his list ... Evidently Charlton had been dishing it out all afternoon at Goodison when a free kick was given to the blues Moggsy sprinted from the wing to head butt him going up in a aerial duel, and put him in Walton Hospital knocked out, no one messed with Moggsy........

I was gutted when we sold him tbh.....

Everton lost 2-0, and on their return to Liverpool found that the Spaniards were accusing them of unruly behavior in their Zaragoza hotel after the game. But I saw nothing out of place from any Everton player. This looked a trumped-up accusation, but it left further bitterness in the relations between the teams. More than 55,000 people packed Goodison to see the second leg, a fortnight later. It was something of a grudge match, but it cool, and never resorted to the questionable tactics they had shown on their own ground. They packed their defence held Everton top a second-leg goal scored by sandy brown who had been switched to the forward line and Everton were out on a 2-1 aggregate.
