It looks like him great guess......Total guess ...............Tony Hateley
I wish ! my only claim to fame was scoring a hat trick past Graham Smith (later to play in goal for West Brom). I never got past playing for Mossley Hill. I have a "reasonable" collection of photos of goals scored by the Blues many of which are now on Pinterest but think that my photo of Latchford's is from a different game v Ipswich. I had comprehensive Everton scrap books from 1962 through to 1977 but lost many in downsizing house moves and I have spent the last few years trawling the internet and making trips across to the Liverpool Library to try to recreate the missing photos.Must ask mate.
What is significant about the game?
You play in it?
My favourite memory of him was the final, replayed game v Spurs in the championship season. The first was postponed (snow) the second abandoned and the third, won by a solitary goal by Whittle. The pitch was waterlogged and Roger Kirkpatrick conducted a pre match pitch inspection by playing a game of mini football with his two linesmen and when he "scored" he showed his delight to the crowd. I made two trips to London for that fixture arriving at White Hart Lane in a snow storm for the postponed game, I missed the abandoned fixture but did make the "Whittle" game.My favorite ref of his era - Roger Kirkpatrick he never needed a white paint marker for a wall he used to sit on the ball line the wall up then roll the ball back to the free kick taker.....
