Just double checked the photos with "Everton Player by Player" by Ivan Ponting. Definitely Jimmy Hill and Roy Parnell. My money is still on Ray Veall as the other but I could be wrong.

One of my favourite players Dave Thomas, proper old fashioned winger, could play on either wing and ping in pinpoint crosses with either feet, a great rarity these days, none of our lot can cross a ball.

Yes Ray Veall alright, but I wouldn't have gotten Hill & Parnell. We used to call Ray 'Wing Nut' because of his ears.

fwiw, I see him as a similar player to Gabriel.
But even when he was good, he could only dream of being the player Jimmy Gabriel was.
