Seen this pic before Joey, think it's Barry Rees and Roy Parnell, couldn't tell you who was who though, the fella on the right I am sure was a guy Catterick brought in from Man City to mainly assist the Central League youngsters with his experience, can't remember his name unfortunately mate!!

Liverpool v Everton 31st December 1966 - 0-0 went to this game at the pit with my late father only 11 years old - bally hit the post we drew 0-0 in a typical Derby game in that era -

Me too, stood in the middle of the kop with a blue and white scarf on...you really do think you're indestructible at that age.
After the game on the way upto the back to go down the stairs, a space opened up around me and my mate, we just kept walking towards the crowd higher up the steps in front of us, as we got closer some wag said, 'go ed wave yer blue scarf now'. We were about a couple of steps down from the kopites looking at us...'nah, yer alright' I said (or some such waffle) hoping (bricking) that they'd get out of our way, just in time they did.

£2.50 for a cup final ticket!
Must be for the decent seats in the stands, my ground ticket cost 7shillings and 6d. 37.5 p got it via program vouchers for all the home games, bunked off school on friday afternoon to get in the queue.
Got called out of class in the middle of monday morning to the Vice Principals for forging my note.

Where were you then...after we'd established that I couldn't forge for toffee.
Queueing for Cup Final tickets Sir
Did you get one.
Yes Sir.
Got 3 on the arse for that, one for each lesson I missed.

Remember collecting the programme vouchers, and the endless queues for cup tickets! Also the match day queues at the cash turnstiles on the Gwladys Street, and being herded into the queue by bloody big police horses - all seems a bit tame today compared to what it was - walking up to the turnstile, barely any queue and scanning a barcode!

I was in the stands looking right over the Kop on one side....
