It was Stewart Rimmer you are talking about, this is Neil Rimmer. Stewart had a great career at Chester and also played in the top division. He is now a post man in Southport, was at the recent Watford match and is a good friend of mine

Not sure and haven't double checked but this could be 79/80 ?
if I recall he made his debut and scored, eventful game as a certain Mr Hughes resulted in an altercation with Andy King who could have been sent off , result was 3-2 to Wolves ?

Yes. thats deffo the game,
Andy Gray debut for Wolves after his £1m move from Vila.
Brian Kidd put us one up before Gray scored at the Park end.
Wolves raced into a 3 1 lead, sorry cant remember other scorers,
but Wolverhampton had that lad from Warrington called John Richards uup front with with Gray
