I watched him playing for us in the Lancashire League before he turned pro; went past a few players, into the box, around the keeper and hit it wide of an open goal. I guarantee he‘ll have forgotten some goals but he remembers that miss to this day.

Looks like the goal he scored against Newcastle for a 1-0 win with about 5 mins to go. There was a picture taken from further away that got in the old Square Gwladys St clock showing the exact time.

Don't reckon it's that goal Degsey,that goal flew in the Gwladdy,looks like the Street End in the background there
