At the time I thought we'd see a lot more of this type of thing. But sadly, it all ended far too soon.

For me and many my age like me, being there seeing those scenes is the one thing that keeps me going.
How on earth those picking up on us from the mid eighties keep the faith astounds me at times.
Surely the cyclic nature of football will dwell upon us soon. Frightens me to think I've had 35 new years eves since those heady days.

Being there at the time and experiencing the run of success we had was brilliant and kind of like a dream that you thought would last forever, but over the years I've accepted that I'll never witness that type of success again from Everton. I feel for the younger blues who have only ever had one false dawn after another and never got to see such a great Everton side in action.

...absolutely, but there are teams like Villa, Leeds and Forest who have dropped so at least we’ve managed to maintain a position from which we can compete. Fingers crossed there is success because this fan base certainly deserve it.
