Oh where did you get that from?
Nightmare memories
I had just moved to work in London and they only way i could afford getting to Leeds was on the West Ham football special.
A truly horrendous experience. Got home at 5 am and had to be in work at 8am
After one of the worst defeats

And you know that Brian Kidd could have saved you and me a trip?

....not very deep that wiring. Poor groundsman having to dig his fork into the pitch and avoid that lot.
It had to be replaced as the wires were too near the surface and were burning the roots of the turf - groundsman in those days probably put it in under instruction knowing that would happen, but they had no clout in those days ...... they had to follow orders from a boffin ......as you pointed out it was dangerous too....

Colin Harvey scored that day ?
yep a lobbed goal he was one of the under strengh players drafted into the side Brian Harris was at full back - Boomer Pickering scored too my older brother stated the icing on the cake was Moggsy last goal making it 4-0 at the Kop end it was a belter - the KOP emptied lol that was the day balloons of purple hearts that lot blew ballons up in that shape and parded them on the pitts ground - then we hammered them.....:D
