....in a similar theme, saw Cliff Jones’ son on telly in the last week and he’s the image of his Dad. I think Cliff Jones is still alive from that great Spurs team. I only started going in the early 60s, so only have vague recollections, although Dave McKay was around for a long time and I still clearly remember his famous tackle on Jimmy Husband.

I think one of that Spurs team (White?) was tragically struck by lightening and died when playing golf.

Re: Cliff Jones. He is still alive - a fit 85- as this photo of him (together with a friend of mine) proves. I used to work with his wife Joan and met Cliff a few times. Lovely man.

I've always admired Cliff Jones as a marvellous player, I watched him in the 50s, at that time we had Billy Bingham who was very similar
in stature very fast and could both score goals due to their speed, they both had a knack of....if they were running with the ball and were
slide tackled no matter how hard or how fast, would somehow land on both feet. I must say that Jones was the superior player and believe
that he broke a leg about 3 times during his career. There was a great tribute to Jimmy Greaves this week on BT Sports, Cliff Jones said
that Greavsey helped him to overcome alcoholism.
