We knocked at his house. Must have been his wife answered!! We asked for Gordon. He came to the door. Signed autographs for the 4 of us. When we told him we had come from Bootle he gave us drinks and biscuits. Lovely fella told us that Gerry Byrne who we didn't have a clue about lived around the corner. He played for the RS. So we knocked at his too. He signed and asked how did we know where he lived. Told him Gordon told us were he lived. Think Westy directed a lot of people to his!!
