This bring back memories on Dad telling me he was there with Mum in Broadgreen Ozzy pregnant with my sister due 18/9 but only popped out 19th September luckily for him !

In 1932 Germany was not governed by Hitler and the Third Reich. That only came to pass in January 1933. If it was indeed the game where we refused to do the Nazi salute, then it would be post-January 1933.

We played two games out there maybe the latter game - but Hitler even though not in power was calling the shots - the Nazi party were growing - I did read Dixies autobiography , and he as captain told the team refusing to do that salute - plus a few ended up in jail that night... it may have been the 2nd game then ....
