The day IMO all the claims about Ian Storey Moore -but after watching the game it was Frank Wignall our ex no 9 who made Labby probably have the worst game I have ever seen - Rankin showed no glory either - Big Joe was missing, but Jimmy Husband filled in well, but missed a vital header .....-

A horrible day out

All sorts of injuries prior to the game ,we played ok on the day led 1-0 Ian Storey-Moore had the game of his life that day,which ultimately led to a big money move to Man U.He was a good player and they where a tough team especially at home.Every Everton home game against them was hard.Remember big Joe getting the winner at home during that period.Sure they finished runner up during that period.Disappointing sure but tough ask with a depleted team.

...can actually remember Emlyn Hughes playing for Blackpool against us around that time. He was a LB on that occasion but I don’t see him in that picture.
