The goodison road terrace packed again. Did we ever find out what the capacity of that terracing was? And by the looks of it it seemed that there was no fence between it and the St. EndThe GV in full flight he used to hang in the air for a small CF he was deadly in the air as well as on the ground as he glided past defenders -

My older brother reckons apart from the paddock? boys pen area you used to be able to walk all around Goodison terraces from the corner to the Glawdys street ....ie you could change ends easily at half time .......The goodison road terrace packed again. Have googled about the terrace but no information comes up even on the everton story of goodison park article. Saw that the St.end terrace had a capacity of 12000 and when you see pics of the goodison road terrace it dwarfs that. Think the kop was 24000 so maybe about 18000?My older brother reckons apart from the paddock? boys pen area you used to be able to walk all around Goodison terraces from the corner to the Glawdys street ....ie you could change ends easily at half time .......
I imagine not far off - it was a funny shape of such a large terrace.....Have googled about the terrace but no information comes up even on the everton story of goodison park article. Tynecastle? Hearts v Partick Thistle by the looks of it. I just read the caption! Bit on the small side is rather mean. You don't get remarks like that nowadays! The GV in his younger days at Hearts again showing his prowess in the air - what a CF he really was -

He's in the air, the balls in the air but they do not meet. Not even close. Great raw shot of the great ones early days. Would have been a difficult spot the ball winner that. The GV in his younger days at Hearts again showing his prowess in the air - what a CF he really was -
