should have won medals at Everton. Should have won the 1977 league cup.
I'm a born and bred Evertonian. No worries there.I hope not as I have given him Rep points in the past few days lol
I reckon McDonagh, don't think Billy Wright had got in the team when Lawson was there.he hasn't caught the ball......probably didn't manage to punch it either.......it's Lawson.
Again......that was some kit back in the day. Played for a junior team and we wore similar. Christened wee Everton.
Was this guy under rated? I think that he was. A very good player imo....
great team.....have all home programmes from that league winning season...And a few aways. You see I'm a bit of a collector. As I mentioned before.
You will get used to all of the posters on here - in time anyone new gets scrutinised, but this imo is the best thread on the GOT apart from match day ...I couldn't believe that. What was that all about.
Don't think a RS supporter would go to the trouble of saying he loved the 1960s and 1970s Everton team. Or say that one of his all time favourite footballers was the great Alan Ball.
But each to their own.
I admit I had a little pop at our current manager. I'm not that enamoured by his results so far.
And this is Everton ......not the type of team he's been used to managing.
I just thought that his handling of that defeat to the RS kids was awful. I would have liked to have seen more of what Duncan Ferguson could do.
And remember our last match. Better not remember. We were awful.
But anyhow......I'll give Don Carlo a fair chance. Let's see what he can do when he gets his own players in board.
Anyhow.....each to their own......I've lost a fan. Such is life.
But me a RS supporter.......Naw.......I cannot stand the @@##@@#s.
Up The Toffees........
it could be McDonagh. Or it could be Lawson. I think that Wright probably did play a few matches in the same team as Lawson. It could be Woods.I reckon McDonagh, don't think Billy Wright had got in the team when Lawson was there.
McDonagh was our shortest keeper '.it could be McDonagh. Or it could be Lawson. I think that Wright probably did play a few matches in the same team as Lawson. It could be Woods.
I'm taking no chances......covering all bases.....could it also be Dia Davies.
Or maybe even Big Nev. In his very early days..Naw he would have caught the ball.
I'm rambling...... It could be McDonagh.......or Woods.
Am I way of the mark here. But who's the opponent jumping as well. Is it Bristol City? I've probably got the wrong team here. But is that guy jumping Gerry Gow?McDonagh was our shortest keeper '.
Billy Ashcroft,Middlesborough I think,a big Evertonian as well.Am I way of the mark here. But who's the opponent jumping as well. Is it Bristol City? I've probably got the wrong team here. But is that guy jumping Gerry Gow?
I don't know......if it's Gow then the keeper is George Woods. I was at that match.Billy Ashcroft,Middlesborough I think,a big Evertonian as well.
It’s the following season, we had just EFC on our shirt in 77/78I don't know......if it's Gow then the keeper is George Woods. I was at that match.
Have the programme. One nil to Everton 1977/78......Andy King scored.
But I don't know. You reckon the player jumping is Billy Ashcroft. Could be.
I can't make out the badge.
That's a couple of unknown keepers on this thread in recent days.
