Oh yes. Replacing GV with an untried 16 year old, and then losing, didn't help Catt get on board the team bus unscathed lol
The manner of defeat didn't help. The first goal was comical. Bally pressed up toward the Kop end early second half but was robbed by Harvey who gently prodded it back to Barnett (no Westy). He then let the ball roll through his legs and in. What I remember most was Bally turning away and laughing his head off all the way back to the centre circle lol Wasn't long before a second went in and the mood with the blues fans turned a little ugly. I think Catt saw enough of Bally's skills that cold afternoon to want to sign him up and join a growing Blackpool influence on Everton's future.
