My best away was the 4-0 splattering of the reds at anfield in 1964. The worst was on the same mud heap pitch a year later. 0-5 and was on the red Kop too

They were a great team always remember Sandys pen it hit the net at the Gladys street so hard it came back out ....he came on as substitute - they were a very good team BM... Rankins save was great it poured down the gate would have been bigger the weather was foul all night -

Seem to remember Rankin was almost at the penalty spot by the time the bloke struck the ball!

IIRC, the match was billed in a lot of the press as a face - off between Bally and B M's very powerful midfielder, Netze. Again, IIRC, Netze did make a couple of surging runs but by and large, Bally ws too nimble and the tough tackling Kendall and, to a lesser extent Harvey, dealt very well with him.

* Edit: might be a bit biased this. If Alan Ball had slaughtered a litter of Golden Retriever puppies in the centre circle, I'd have cheered.
