Nice shot of Kingy riding big George Berry's slide tackle. Not a well known fact but the big man grew up in Blackpool. However the uncompromising and solid defender was snaffled away by the Wolves before the Tangerines could make him an offer.

Mike Trebilcock's afternoon was a dream come true for him. Zero to hero. Possibly one of, if not THE most unlikely yet incredible stories in FA Cup history.

Bally and Rog, took their team magic to Vancouver Whitecaps and grabbed the NSL title. Their only ever title I think. There will always be a part of that club that will be blue and tangerine.

Lots of interesting characters in these line ups. Gary Briggs, ha what a tough defender for BFC. Helped the Tangerines around 30 years back when non league was beckoning. His scary moustache and all round menacing presence helped lol
More Tangerine connex on the Toffee team sheet. Ainscow, and O'Keefe who in his short time at BFC scored lots of goals and his skills are still talked about to this day. Of course McMahon went on to manage Pool in the early 2000s with some success.
