Newcastle won this match 5-2. They fielded a strong team. Used it as preparation for the start of the upcoming season. The last 20 or so minutes was pure comedy though. George Best and Kevin Keegan (Newcastle manager at the time) came on. Did all the party tricks and fooling around. A testimonial played in the right spirit.........and Best turning up and not drinking...........great stuff.
