Over 30,000 there that night I recall. Pouring down all game. I remember John Hurst was also in the side. Can't recall any others. Hurst was a centre forward at that stage of his career.

An awful construction. In design it was supposed to be cantilever. Chelsea showed how it should have been, with the reconstruction of their main stand finished a year later.

iirc, Cost £7M and for an extra 10% - £70,000 - 1 decent player; you could've had no obstructed views
