I admit that I also criticised Kendall. The football in the early 1980s was not great. Was I wrong or what.
I watched a bit of Kendall's way today - seen it before tears brimming again -I admit that I also criticised Kendall. The football in the early 1980s was not great. Was I wrong or what.
But did anybody really see what was to come.
I think that I started to believe that we had a serious team when Heath...Sharp and Sheedy all started scoring goals.
And our defence (Big Nev...Ratcliffe....Mountfield )tightened up.
Then Reid and Gray came in. And Boom.........we took off.
Honourable mention for Steven and Bracewell also.
But I admit to criticising Howard Kendall in his early days at Everton. For a few seasons he brought in some rubbish. But his footballing vision came good....
Thank God............Up The Toffees....
Everton won this match 4-1. Harvey...Hurst ....Husband and Royle scored. Bought that programme a while back.
looks like Pat Crenard .......he was aging a bit . And losing a little hair. I'll stick with Pat Crenard.....Bally - a prize if any poster knows who he is facing with proof ........
