Old Everton Pictures

HK our best manager - plus what a great player he really was -

It was getting late my son wanted the main PC to do his back ups for work ... :D That's my poor excuse.....
Ray did joke he just missed out on the 1963 league medal with us, as Huddersfield FC dug their heels in to hold him to contract, then sadly he got a bad injury for us to miss the 1969/70 championship medal ....
He claims he was far to loyal to Huddersfield & knew as soon as he was introduced to Everton a top club how he had wasted his time in a lower division, if you look at the stats he played not many games for us only if we could have got him a lot earlier .......as he was pure class as then a rare overlapping fullback .....
Much more to Ramon than an overlapping fullback, he was master of the perfectly timed slide tackle where he not only won the ball, but came away with it. As you say @Joey66 , he was a mater-class in a pure footballing sense, and total poetry in motion (leaves room with misty eyes).

Incredible array of images @Joey66 which bring back all my nostalgia from when I first started following Everton home and away in 1954. Your attic must be like the inside of my head with regards to matters concerning our club, Excellent work, and keep them flowing.
My colossal book collection started when my wife had a car boot business many years ago - I would pick up bargains there some cheap some expensive - I would have a bigger collection if my late mother threw out two full boxes of EFC programmes on me the air was blue ......
My late father was a massive blues fan, my older brother still alive took me to loads of games home & away - I have witnessed the great times plus the poor times too .....
Carlo has to get it right the young fanbase deserve that.....

Your last sentence says it all. AMEN to that.
These young-guns have put up with so much rubbish with undying loyalty and have more than earned the right to revel in the good times as we were able to. Roll on those days, and without seeming selfish, let us hope it will not be too long in the waiting and we can all witness them together.
