In the 1960's from that game on we played any cup game at home in White if possible - My older brother was at the Inter Milan game all blue fans were astonished to see our team run out in that kit .... in 19666 look at the photos at home in the FA Cup played in white......

Not really it was just an idea the club came up with I think we wore white away too in cup games in that era 1963 0nwards for a few seasons - then the amber /blue shorts kit came in which looked great -
