I remember that Banks always got a great reception from the Street End - maybe better than Westy ! Superb GK and a nice bloke.

Went to the Golden Phoenix Chinese restaurant in Hanover Street with my Dad in the 60s I was about 13 at the time. Gordon was in there with some other man who I did not recognise, I was convinced that he must be signing for us or Liverpool. Never did find out what he was doing in Liverpool that day.
