Was at that game and the f.a. later treated EFC badly for fielding a weakened team.
Didn't stop us winning the fa cup 4 weeks later
A young Joe Royle stated he was on the team bus, it was the reserves bar Sandy Brown & Moggsy - he claimed they did well until late on on a mudbath of a pitch ironical our Wembley hero scored our goal .....an omen hey.....It was like watching Everton Reserves away....
