8th September 1963. League champions Everton defenders Alex Parker and Brian Labone are given the runaround by Inter Milan at Goodison Park. -0-0 -

The Everton players here are Labone and Brian Harris being outjumped, also the number 7 for Inter is
possibly Jair da Costa, the scorer of the only goal over there. Denis Stevens in left background and Tony
Kay right foreground. I suppose Parker is a fair shout for player behind Labby, but I don't really know.

Joey. Just doing my inspector Morse with time on my hands. I can always remember Rioch and
MacKenzie stood either side of the old manager with the Irish Silver tongue soon to be sacked!
I reckon that Rioch and Mac. have been put in the photo afterwards, they are both just a little
detached, surely in real time they would have been put behind Goodlass and Telfer just to
make the photo symmetrical. I'll leave it to the jury.

27th September 1969; Everton defender John Hurst what a player he really was -battling against Southampton duo John McGrath and Jimmy Gabriel, at Goodison Park We won 4-2 my hero getting a Hat trick -

...something I’d never noticed & you could be right. The observation I’d make is part of Rioch’s boot is hidden behind Pejic, and that might not be the case if it was added afterwards.

Yes, the plot thickens?
