11th May 1965 Royston Vernon resist the challenge of Alan Mullery to score against Fulham - again wrong date?

Pretty sure it was the 62 / 63 Title run in ... one of Vernon's three goals.

Mea culpa. Typing error on my Pinterest account. I no longer post photos to Pinterest or update them when I obtain better photos as I received a complaint a couple of years ago over a couple of postings. Nice find @Joey66 Well nabbed by the Toffees to go on and have an excellent career in his adopted city. Unlucky not to have won a lot more in his time at Everton but did do well in America in the late seventies with Bally and won the US title with the Whitecaps. He could have doubled his winners medals collection if he had signed for the Tangerines as he would have been in the team that won the Anglo Italian Cup away from home in 1971
