Old Everton Pictures

....very talented footballer was Tony Grant. I watched him lots coming through the Academy & that skill set was in his locker.
Yes he was looked a bit like Rodney Tbrotter out of only fools & horses .....but what a great goal that was if only one of our midfielders could score like that today hey ho,......shame all that potential he showed he never went on to become a regular .....I remember he looked a great promising talented player .....

....he did look like Rodney. Grant had great feet & a lovely touch of the ball. I remember a Lancashire League game where he slalomed past a number of players, went around the keeper and poked it wide of the goal from literally a yard out. I bet he still remembers that miss. Look back at Kanchelskis goals and Grant will be involved in many.

He was involved in our scouting network in recent times. Big mates with Robbie Fowler from their schoolboy football days, I think the pair of them went to Australia to manage.

Blues of a certain vintage. Please don't have nightmares.:D - @TangerineToffee -

Yeah decent striker for the Tangerines, hall of famer in fact, but found the pace and price tag a bit hot down at GP. The Irish shirt is a little misleading for the Chorley born laddie. The Walsh family have provided a couple of duffers to the illustrious history of the Toffees. Sorry bout that lol

I think Kanchelskis actually said at the time he loved it when "Grantona" was in the side,I watched him in the reserves and he looked special,I just think unfortunately for Tony his frame couldn't hack the physical side of the game at the top level, real shame as you said Eggs as he was such a gifted lad.

One of the greatest midfielders the club and country has ever seen and 1/3 of The Holy Trinity -

Kevin Ratcliffe was sent-off for the only time in his 493-game Everton career. He butted Tommy Hutchinson during an FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City. The ref was Peter Willis, who would send off Kevin Moran in the FA Cup final four years later. Funny I seen him sent off in a European game at Goodison when he was a full back ,... & we got beat - knocked out on aggregate -
