...wow, it’s a good shout, Joey. I can’t imagine the Toffee Lady would be anywhere but Goodison except for a neutral venue. Burnden Park is not a ground I played on.

A right graveyard of a ground for us my late father went towards cup game they were a division below 3-0 down at half time - Brian Harris scored our consultation goal in the 2 me half - plus he stated it was freezing there....?

Cup final memories. What a day! We even won the veterans match too. Dave Johnson, Georgie Wood, Dave Jones, Dave Hickson, John Bailey, Alan Whittle, Brian Labone, Andy King and (I think) Bob Latchford.

....very good. My memory is useless, I note the Toffee Lady in the background but don’t recall her going to away games. She clearly did.

Cc do you know why he forgot the FA CUP has lost its way now cup winners cup ended - plus semi finals held at the new Wembley ..,...
Devalued the competition imo .'.......some team finishing 5 the or 6 the even will be in the Same competition etc .......
The TV coverage has tohtaly changed too - sadly not the competition it used to be, the big teams treat it with contempt untill the semi final too .......
If we were playing yes I would take an interest yes, but I may give it a miss for the above reasons.,.....

Also Fergie pulling United out of the best and most traditional football competition in the world to go play in that load of tosh world club champs in Brazil. Came creeping back the next season but damage and scorn was heaped onto the comp for a little extra coin. In a way it's symptomatic of the way the whole game has since been sacrificed for the love of money.
