Was in the upper tiers for the final, what a night, the journey there by coach from Southport was full on 72 hour sing and drinking session, from the minute we left to the hotel Museum in Amsterdam to the night itself to all the way back on the ferry, it was bouncing that ferry!! Happiest days!! me old man went missing in Amsterdam too, no idea where he went, Hmmmmmm! Something about Bananas springs to mind! What happens on tour stays on tour! I was only 15 and he left me in the hotel to soak up the atmosphere, half wishing I went with him to see what he was up to, but best left to the imagination i guess ..........

Westy was injured, for about 5_6 games in the run in for that title Dunlop played well in all those games - not a very liked player - he hated Westy for taking his place ......Pretty sure that was dear old Westie,he didn't play that day,Dunlop between the sticks
Then we had the purple hearts release to the press from Dunlop........
Allo very sad for him .......
